Lagos and seven other states have been cut off from public power due to a collapse of the National Grid.
The incident, which is said to be second time this year, happened yesterday morning, and other states affected are Enugu, Kaduna, Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, and Imo.
The various electricity distribution companies covering the affected states confirmed the collapse of the National Grid in short messages to their customers.
They assured that their engineers were working with officials of the Transmission Company of Nigeria to fix the National Grid and restore power supply to the affected states.
