Children’s Day: govt charges on expectations

The celebration of this year’s Children’s Day takes the centre stage, Thursday, May 27, and some children in Lagos State have called on the government to pay attention to issues concerning their development.

Top on the expectations of the children include improvement in education, gender equality, and press freedom.

Abubakar Usman and Oyedele Blessing of the Kuramo Junior College shared their expectations with Lasgidi FM’s Chukwuemeka Obioma.

Meanwhile; an educationist, Babatunde Lawal has called on children to be hopeful about a better future for them in Nigeria.

Lawal said that although the country was currently facing some challenges, the future of the Nigerian child is still bright.
