Controversy trails search for new Olubadan of Ibadan land

All is not well in the search for a new Olubadan of Ibadan-Land in Oyo State.

This follows the death of Oba Saliu Adetunji, who died last Sunday at the age of ninety-three.

One of the leading candidates for the vacant stool of Olubadan is Lekan Balogun, but he is being challenged.

A former Attorney-General of Oyo State, Michael Lana, has advised Governor Seyi Makinde that Lekan Balogun is not qualified for the position.

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Bolaji Ayorinde, who is an indigene of Oyo State, has said that Lena’s advice is his personal opinion.

Bolaji Ayorinde also explained his understanding of the process for the selection of the Olubadan of Ibadan Land.
