The stage has been set for a coroner’s inquest into the death of Sylvester Oromoni of Dowen College, as the investigation of the incident continues.
The move is in response to a request by human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, to the Chief Coroner of Lagos, Justice Mojisola Dada, on behalf of the Oromoni Family.
The Coroner of the Epe District of Lagos, Magistrate Mikail Olukayode Kadiri, announced that the inquest will begin on Saturday, January 15, 2022.
According to a letter to the law firm of Falana and Falana, Magistrate Kadiri said the inquest would begin at 9AM, and hearing shall be done in open court.
