Court remands two men for trespassing on Lagos airport

Two persons, Michael Elendu, and Godwin Lorngohol, have been sent to the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos for entering into the Murtala Mohammed International Airport without authorization.

Magistrate M. F. Onamusi of the Ikeja Magistrates’ Court ordered the remand of Elendu and Lornghol after they pleaded guilty to trespassing at the airport.

The Police Prosecution Counsel, ASP Vincent Atagamen, told the court that Elendu and Lornghol were arrested at the departure area of the airport last Sunday, January 23, 2022.

Atagamen also alleged that the defendants gave assistance to air travelers in exchange for tips, without the approval of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria.
