A Federal High Court in Abakaliki has sacked the Ebonyi State Caretaker Committee of the People’s Democratic Party, led by FRED UDOGU.
The Court described UDOGU’s Caretaker Committee as illegal, and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission not to recognize it.
Justice ALUKO AKINTAYO held that the national leadership of the PDP acted illegally when it dissolved the Ebonyi State Executive Committee of the party.
Justice AKINTAYO made the decision while giving judgment in a suit filed by NNACHI OKORO, who is the Legal Adviser of the State PDP led by ONYEKACHI NWEBONYU.
The judge declared that the leadership of the PDP acted harshly, and without any evidence of wrong doing against the plaintiff.
