Covid-19: EU President, Ursula von der Leyen admits shortcoming in vaccines rollout

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen has admitted the EU was too late to rollout Covid-19 vaccines.

She also acknowledged  that the EU over overconfident about meeting production targets despite delays at factories.

The EU President had come under fire for the union’s slow vaccine rollout.

But she was adamant that ordering vaccines collectively on behalf of member states was the right thing to do.
