The Federal Government has acknowledged the donation of fifty-four thousand pieces of Personal Protective Equipment by the German government.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, BOSS MUSTAPHA, said the German-donated PPEs are to be produced locally.
MUSTAPHA made the announcement during the media briefing in Abuja by the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19.
BOSS MUSTAPHA who is the Chairman of the PTF, said government was concerned about young people contracting Covid-19 because of carelessness.
MUSTAPHA also encouraged more Nigerians to present themselves to be tested to determine their Covid-19 status.
He said although Nigeria now has the laboratory capacity to test up to fifteen thousand Covid-19 samples daily, the country was currently doing between three thousand and six thousand testing.
