COVID-19 Update: Nigeria’s confirmed cases exceed 30,000 threshold

Nigeria’s confirmed cases of Covid-19 has crossed the thirty thousand mark, with four hundred and sixty new cases added yesterday.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed the new confirmed tests in its latest update last night, which takes the total to thirty thousand, two hundred and twenty-nine.

NCDC said the new cases were recorded in twenty states and Abuja, as Lagos maintaining the daily lead, with one hundred and fifty new cases.

Rivers State followed with 49, Oyo 43, Delta 38, Abuja 26, while Anambra and Kano added 20 each, followed by Plateau with 18.

Others are Edo 14, Bayelsa and Enugu 13 each; Osun 12, Kwara 10, Borno 8, Ogun 7, Kaduna 6, Imo 4, while Bauchi and Gombe added 3 each, Niger recorded 2 new cases, while Adamawa confirmed one.

Meanwhile; twelve thousand, three hundred and seventy-three Covid-19 patients have recovered, while the new coronavirus has claimed the life of six hundred and eighty-four persons in Nigeria.
