The Minister of Defence, retired General BASHIR MAGAJI, has said that the government will not hire mercenaries to fight Boko Haram terrorists in the Northeast.
General MAGAJI boasted the Nigerian Military has the capacity to deal with the terrorists and bandits who are troubling the northern parts of the country.
MAGAJI, who spoke on a television programme last night, the military operations in the north is a different kind of war that is fought on the basis of information.
He said with the right motivation and equipment, the military would be able to subdue terrorists in the Northeast and bandits in the Northwest.
