Doctor makes shocking revelation in Sylvester Oromoni Coroner’s Inquest

More revelations have been made in the Coroner’s Inquest into the controversial death of Dowen College student, Sylvester Oromoni.

A medical doctor, Aghogho Owhojede, has told the Inquest that the twelve-year-old victim was not taken to hospital for treatment, but to a church.

Owhojede made the revelation while responding to questions by lawyers of two students who are alleged to have tortured Oromoni leading to his death.

The medical doctor, who said he had been rendering healthcare service to the Oromoni Family, also admitted that he treated the deceased for acute malaria at the family home in Warri, Delta State.

He also told the Coroner’s Court at Ikeja that late Oromoni was also taken to church for prayers by his family for a number of days.

Owhojede also said he had referred the late Oromoni to the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara, on November 30, 2021, which is the same day he died.
