Ebonyi imposes curfew in boundary communities; as rivers state enters full nighttime curfew

The Ebonyi State Government has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew in all communities on the boundary with neighbouring states.

Governor Dave Umahi declared that there will be no movement in and out of the state from 8PM to 6AM, with effect from Thursday, April 29, 2021.

During the period, Governor Umahi said movement will only be allowed within the state, while all businesses are to close by 6PM.

In another development, the Rivers State has reviewed and extended the nighttime curfew in the state, a day after the measure came into force.

Governor Nyesom Wike had on Tuesday imposed curfew at all entry points into Rivers State from 8PM to 6AM, which began yesterday.

However, Governor Wike announced a state-wide nighttime curfew, from 10PM to 6AM, while the curfew at the boundary points is still in force.
