ENDSARS: Families of Police victims in Rivers State get N20m compensation

In Rivers State; Governor NYESOM WIKE has offered to pay twenty million naira to the families of each police officer and soldier who died during the violent turn of the EndSARS protests.

Governor WIKE blamed members of the banned Indigenous Peoples Organization of Biafra, IPOB, for the killing of the security officers in Oyigbo Local Government Area.

He also promised to rebuild all burnt police stations in Oyigbo, just as he vowed that the IPOB, which he described as a terrorist organization, no longer exists in Rivers State.

Governor WIKE made the offers during a visit to the Commissioner of Police, JOSEPH MUKAN, at the Command Headquarters, to sympathise with him and the families of the slain officers.
