One Hamzat Muhammad Bashar is to spend seven years in prison without an option of fine, after he was found guilty of operating a fraudulent investment scheme in Sokoto State.
Justice Bello Duwale of the State High Court sitting in Sokoto convicted BASHIR in connection with allegations against his Miracle Investment Promoter fraud.
Bashir was dragged before the court by the Sokoto Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, and the trial began on November 7, 2019.
He was said to have acted with two others to defraud unsuspecting members of the public in the sum of twenty-three million seven hundred and sixty naira
