Falana invokes FOI on alleged sponsors of terrorism

Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, has activated the Freedom of Information Act to request details of four hundred persons the Federal Government claims are to face trial for alleged funding of terrorism in Nigeria.

Falana made the request to the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, nearly three months after he made the revelation in May this year.

According to a copy of the letter to the AGF, which was seen by some journalists, the law firm of the human rights lawyer said they would like to know the court where charges were filed against the suspected sponsors of terrorism in the country.
