FG faults CNN investigative report on shooting of EndSARS protesters

The Federal Government has faulted the investigative report by the Cable News Network, CNN, on the shooting of EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos.

In the investigative report released during the week, the CNN said it used advanced technology to analyze images and videos linked to the Lekki shooting and verified them to be real.

The CNN also said it was able to analyse empty bullet casings from the scene of the shooting, which it claimed was supplied to the Nigerian Military from Serbia, and concluded that they were live rounds.

However; the Minister of Information and Culture, LAI MOHAMMED, said he had confidence in the testimony of the Nigerian Army, and demanded to know where the CNN got the live bullets it analysed.

LAI MOHAMMED also said he stand by the challenge to anyone who knows any dead or missing person from the scene of the Lekki Tollgate shooting to report to the Lagos State Judicial Panel.

The Minister also declared that OBIANUJU CATHERINE UDEH, also known as DJ SWITCH, who live-streamed the Lekki shooting on Instagram, would soon be exposed for spreading falsehood.

LAI MOHAMMED denied that the life was in danger, adding that the police and military never declared her wanted, even though she has been in hiding.
