Guinea’s overthrown President Alpha Condé, has been flown to the United Arab Emirate for medical treatment.
Condé who has been under house arrest since he was removed in a coup more than four months ago was accompanied by his doctor and two bodyguards.
Guinea’s military ruler had said the former president could only travel overseas on medical grounds, and would not be allowed to stay there for more than a month.
