At least thirty people have been injured and more than twenty houses destroyed in a gas tanker explosion around Iju-Ishaga area of Lagos State.

However, IBRAHIM FARINLOYE of the National Emergency Management Agency said fifteen people were injured, while eighteen buildings and thirty-five shops were affected.

The explosion at Balogun Bus stop on Thursday afternoon, September 24, 2020, which involved two gas tankers, also burned several vehicles in the area.

Eyewitnesses told newsmen that the blast happened as one of the tankers was offloading liquefied natural gas at a gas plant.

The LASEMA G.M said the agency responded immediately, together with other security and law enforcement agencies, to stop the fire and rescue the victims.
