The Oyo State Government has ruled that no land in the state will be provided for cattle ranching.
Governor Seyi Makinde said rearing of cattle is a private business.
Governor Makinde made the clarification following criticism over his endorsement of the National Livestock Transformation Plan.
However, in a message on his Twitter handle after a meeting with the Governor of Kwara State, Governor Makinde said he would implement only part of the livestock plan that are beneficially to Oyo State.
The Governor said they agreed that the National Livestock Transformation Plan would further strengthen economic and security collaborations between both states.
