Gunmen have hijacked a ship in the Gulf of Oman, and are now sailing the vessel to Iran.
Lloyds List Maritime Intelligence confirmed that the ship registered in Panama is used for transporting bitumen.
The latest incident comes less than a week after an Israeli-owned oil tanker was attacked by a drone off Oman, with two security guards killed.
However, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards has dismissed the latest reports as a deception for unfriendly action against the country.
