The Independent National Electoral Commission has postponed fifteen bye-elections in eleven states on October 31, 2020.
The postponed bye-elections include six senatorial districts and nine constituents, one of which is the bye-election for Lagos East Senatorial District.
The decision was reached at a meeting between INEC National Officers and thirty-seven Resident Electoral Commissioners.
INEC National Commissioner in charge of Voter Education and Publicity, FETUS OKOYE, said the meeting took notice of the security situation in parts of the country.
