Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State has banned the operation of all commercial phone charging points in the state.
Governor Masari said the decision is part of efforts to check the activities of bandits who have been terrorizing the state, and kidnapping people for money.
Speaking during an interview on TV monitored in Lagos, Governor Masari said without phone charging points, bandits would not be able to power their phones and coordinate their criminal operations.
