Lagos Fourth Mainland Bridge: Officials meet stakeholders

The Lagos State Government has started the process of building the long-awaited Fourth Mainland Bridge.

The bridge is designed as a freeway, spanning thirty-seven point four kilometres, and divided into three sections.

The project will commence from the Abraham Adesanya Roundabout in Lekki through Ajah and Langbasa, crossing the Ado Badore Road before arriving at the Lagoon shoreline.

Across the Lagoon, the bridge would land between Bayeku and Ijede villages, passing through Ikorodu-Epe expressway to further link Isawo Road and onwards to the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The Deputy Governor, OBAFEMI HAMZAT, led officials to attend the first stakeholders meeting on environmental and social impact assessment of the project.

He said when the bridge is completed, it would provide direct connection from Ikorodu to the Island and the Lekki Free Trade Zone area.

The Federal Government was represented at the meeting by an official from the Ministry of Works and Housing, ADETUNJI ADEOYE.
