Social clubs with registered trustees operating in Lagos State will be permitted to open in two weeks’ time.
But before reopening, such outfits would be required to register and obtain provisional clearance certificate from the state government.
This was made known by the Director General of Lagos State Safety Commission, Lanre Mojola.
Mojola said that registration for the mandatory ‘Register-To-Open’ policy is at zero cost, adding that the portal is easy and user friendly.
He said organisations without safety compliance certificates should ensure registration on the portal as stipulated.
The Lagos State official stated that restaurants outside hotels are only to open for take-out services and zero dining activity, while bars, nightclubs, spas, gyms, cinemas and parks remained closed until further notice
He also warned that mass gathering in places of worship and social centres during can increase the spread of the coronavirus diseases.
Lanre Mojola said appropriate screening equipment for COVID-19, such as contactless temperature checkers, must be available at all facilities.
