The Lagos Assembly has cut the pension of former governors of the state by fifty percent.
This followed the approval of the report of the State House of Assembly Committee on Establishment.
The House removed the provision of a house in Abuja and Lagos for former governors in the previous law.
Also, the number of vehicles to be provided for former governors and their deputies has been reduced.
The new bill provides that former governors should get two vehicles, which should be replaced every four years.
