Lagos State sets up N200M trust fund for victims of Police Brutality

Lagos State Governor, BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU, has received a letter of demands by EndSARS protesters who stormed his office at Alausa, Ikeja.

Governor SANWO-OLU also announced the setting up of a Two Hundred Million Naira Trust Fund to compensate families whose members suffered police brutality in Lagos State.

The Governor said he understands that no amount of money can reduce the pain of victims of police brutality, adding that the trust fund would be supervised by a team of trustworthy people.

After addressing the protesters, Governor SANWO-OLU later disclosed on his twitter handle that he was on his way to Abuja for a meeting with President MUHAMMADU BUHARI to discuss issues concerning the EndSARS protests.
