Lagos suspends official operatives in solidarity with ENDSARS protesters

The Lagos State Government has suspended all official activities for three days due to the violent turn of the EndSARS protests.

Governor BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU has also directed that all flags at public buildings should be lowered in solidarity with the protests.

Governor SANWO-OLU made the announcement in a state broadcast moments ago; a day after soldiers opened fire on peaceful protesters at the Lekki Phase-One Toll Gate.

The Lagos State Governor said the Lekki protesters insisted on carrying on with their protest despite the curfew.

However, reports of the shooting on protesters by soldiers at the Lekki Phase One Toll Gate happened before the curfew began at 9PM.

The Governor confirmed that at least thirty people were injured and rushed to hospital but said no one died in the Lekki Phase-One shooting, despite several online images showing dead bodies.

In his earlier statement; Governor SANWO-OLU blamed forces beyond his control for the shooting of Lekki EndSARS protesters.
