Mali Military officers sack Interim President, Prime Minister

Military officers in Mali have sacked the Interim President and Prime Minister, confirming a second coup in ten months.

The same military officers who led the first coup last year, announced the removal of the civilian leaders a day after they were detained a barracks.

The coup leader, Colonel ASSIMI GOÏTA said President BAH NDAW and Prime Minister MOCTAR OUANE failed in their duties.

Colonel GOITA accused NDAW and OUANE of attempting to sabotage the country’s transition, after two senior army officers were replaced in changes to the cabinet.
