The Minister of Labour and Employment, Doctor Chris Ngige, made the threat against the striking resident doctors over the weekend.
However, resident doctors continued their strike in most University Teaching Hospitals and Federal Medical Centres in different parts of the country.
At the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Doctor Olufemi told newsmen that their members are not worried by the government threat.
