NBA: Toronto Raptors falters again

The Toronto Raptors continue their dismal run of form this season, losing to the Portland Trailblazers 112-111 in the Eastern Conference this morning.

The loss was the Raptors 8th loss in 10 games this season and this leaves them 14th on the log in the 15 team Eastern Conference standings.

In other matches played in the Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks defeated Orlando Magic 121-99 to move 4th on the log. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Dillion Brooks scored 21 points,7 rebounds and 4 assists as the Memphis Grizzles defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 101-91.

Washington Wizards defeated the Phoenix Suns 128-107 in what was their 3rd win in 11 games while the Suns lost their 4th in same number of games. Charlotte Hornets defeated the New York Knicks 109-88 in a game Gordon Hayward scored a game high 34 points.

In addition, Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Atlanta Hawks 111-112, The Hawks has now won 5 and lost the same number of games this season while in the late night game, Harrison Barnes scored 30 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists as Sacramento Kings defeated Indiana Pacers 127-122.

In other development, NBA has postponed matches between Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans, Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls due to health and safety protocols. It would be recalled that a number of Dallas Mavericks players tested positive to COVID- 19, and are self-isolating.
