Niger Delta leaders threaten to retaliate any attack by herdsmen

People of the Niger Delta have vowed to resist the threat by armed Fulani jihadists to invade the region.

The reaction followed a threat issued in an open letter circulated in Delta State, calling for a reversal of the ban on open grazing in the state.

Ijaw elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark warned that the Niger Delta people will not stand by and watch any group overrun their people.

Chief Clark reminded President Muhammadu Buhari that he was not elected as the President of his Fulani tribe.
