Nigeria and Ghana to rekindle their rivalry

The Super Falcons of Nigeria will slug it out with the Black Queens of Ghana in the first round of qualifying for a place to qualify for the 2022 Africa Women Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco.

The Super Falcons who are eleven time winners of the competition will host the first leg of the qualifier between June 7 and 10 2021 while the second leg will be staged at the Black Queens backyard.

The winner of the tie over both legs will face the winner in the game involving Niger Republic and Cote D’Ivoire for the last qualifying stage to be a part of Africa Women Football greatest showpiece.

In the same vein, the U-20 Nigeria female football team, known as The Falconets will begin their quest for a place in the U-20 Women World Cup to be held in Costa Rica next year, with a second round tie against the winner of the first round battle between Equatorial Guinea and Central Africa Republic.

The U-17 Nigeria female football team, The Flamingoes will also start their battle for a place in the U-17 Women World Cup to be held in India 2022 in the second round stage of qualifying by battling the winner of the first round tie between DR Congo and Rwanda.

The second round first leg of the U-20 qualifying starts on 23rd, 24th or 25th September 2021 and the second leg two weeks later while the second round first leg of the U-17 qualifying begins 3rd, 4th or 5th March 2022 and the second leg two weeks later.
