Ondo Residents Doctors begin indefinite strike

Resident doctors at the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital in Ondo State have gone on strike.

Members of the National Association of Resident Doctors declared that the indefinite strike is to demand the payment of their four-month salary arrears, among other demands.

Acting President of NARD at the state-owned teaching hospital, Doctor SANNI ORIYOMI, said their members could no longer afford to work without being paid.

Doctor ORIYOMI also said Resident Doctors at the hospital have not been paid their Covid-19 allowance.
