Ooni forgives Sunday Igboho, as Pastor Bakare wades into herdsmen crisis

The Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has forgiven the controversial Oyo youth leader, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho.

The Ooni’s media aide, Moses Olafare, said the Royal Father is also solidly behind Igboho’s move to drive away criminal herdsmen from the South-West.

Olafare, announcement appears to put to rest the tension caused by Sunday Igboho’s criticism of the Ife Monarch.

His comments in an online video was as a result of the controversial quit notice he gave to criminal herdsmen to leave Ibarapa area of Oyo State.

Igboho had criticized Ooni Ogunwusi after the Monarch asked him not to take the laws into his hands, but he later apologized for his comments.

In a related development, Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Citadel Global Community Church in Lagos says he has set up a meeting with Sunday Igboho over the herdsmen crisis.

Pastor Bakare confirmed his engagement with Igboho during an interview on a television programme monitored in Lagos yesterday.

Meanwhile; Pastor Bakare has denied saying that President Muhammadu Buhari has disappointed Nigerians.

The 2011 Presidential running-mate also said there are a number of things happening in the country, which he expects that President Buhari is not comfortable with.
