The Nigeria Police High Command says the panel investigating the allegation against former head of the police Intelligence Response Team, D.C.P. Abba Kyari, has not submitted its report.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mbah, made this known in reaction to media reports that the panel submitted its report to the Inspector General of Police on Monday.
Recall that Abba Kyari, who is a Deputy Commissioner of Police, was suspended over an allegation that he helped helping self-confessed internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi, in a one-point-one-million-dollar scam.
Abba Kyari’s indictment was contained in a document before a court in the United States by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which is investigating internet fraud allegations against Hushpuppi.
