President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has laid the 2021 Budget of the Federal Government before the National Assembly.
President BUHARI made his presentation before the second joint session of the Ninth National Assembly
Details of the budget show that the government plans to spend thirteen point-zero-eight trillion-naira next year.
The Budget provides for five-point seven-five trillion naira as recurrent expenditure, while capital projects would take three-point three-three trillion naira.
The figures for recurrent and capital expenditures are competing against three-point one-two-four trillion naira for debt servicing.
Under statutory transfers of four hundred and eighty-one point four-one billion naira; the National Assembly alone will take a total of one hundred and twenty-eight billion naira.
President BUHARI said the main focus of the capital component of the budget is the completion of ongoing projects.
