President Buhari charges SGF on Central Coordination of his Cabinet

President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has directed the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federal to revive a central unit to coordinate the activities of his government.

The Coordinating Unit is to ensure that all government offices and establishments remain focused and work as a team in delivering results to Nigerians.

In a message at the closing of the two-day ministerial retreat in Abuja, President BUHARI charged the SGF, BOSS MUSTAPHA, to ensure that regular reports on progress of government activities are submitted.

He also directed the SGF to coordinate all matters related to the Federal Executive Council, while the Chief of Staff, Professor IBRAHIM GAMBARI will take charge of matter that requires his direct attention.

The President also charged his ministers and senior officials to defend the government and counter negative information about his administration.

Similarly; President BUHARI directed the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria is to ensure timely release of funds for the projects.
