President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has sent the names of eight Appeal Court judges to the Senate for confirmation as Supreme Court Justices.
President BUHARI also asked the National Assembly to approve the refund of one hundred and forty-eight billion naira to five states.
The President made the requests in two separate letters to the Senate, which were read on the floor of the Senate by the President, AHMED LAWAN.
The money is to cover the cost of federal road projects in Ondo, Rivers, Cross-River, Osun, and Bayelsa states.
Rivers State more than half of the amount, which is put at seventy-eight point nine billion naira, followed by Bayelsa State, which got thirty-eight point four billion naira.
Cross River was refunded eighteen point three billion naira; Ondo State got seven point eight billion naira, while four point five billion naira went to Osun State.
