The four point two million pounds looted by former governor of Delta State, James Ibori, which was recovered in the United Kingdom, has not been returned to the Delta State Government.
This was made known by Lauretta Onochie, who is President Muhammdu Buhari’s social media assistant, and also an indigene of Delta State.
Onochie made the clarification in reaction to media reports, which quoted the Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, informing a committee of the House of Representatives that the recovered loot had been paid to the Delta State government.
Similarly; the Delta State Government has denied receiving the four point two million pounds recovered from former governor, James Ibori.
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Olisa Ifejika, explained the government position while responding to questions by newsmen.
