Repairs of Lagos 3rd Mainland Bridge to be completed February 22, 2021

A section of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos has been reopened to traffic heading to the Island, after a total closure of the bridge, which lasted for forty-eight hours.

The closure of the two lands of the Lagos Third Mainland, which began at Midnight on Saturday, December 26, 2020, was meant to last for seventy-two hours.

However; the casting of concrete casting of three repaired expansion joints of the bridge was completed twenty-four hours earlier than planned.

The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, OLUKAYODE POPOOLA, told Lasgid FM News Desk on telephone, that repair work continues on the closed lane of the bridge.

Meanwhile; The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, OLUKAYODE POPOOLA, has said the the repair of the Lagos Third Mainland Bridge would be completed by February next year.
