Rival Street gangs take over Orile-Aguda areas of Lagos

Armed gangs have continued to make life difficult for people who live around Doyin, Orile-Iganmu and Coker-Aguda areas of Lagos State.

Some residents told Lasgidi FM’s CHUKWUEMEKA OBIOMA that they have not had peace in the affected areas for three days, as gunshots and looting have become common.

They said the problem is due to continues street fight by rival criminal gangs who are battling for control of the touting activities in the areas.

Recall that that the Orile-Iganmu Divisional Police Station was burnt down after hoodlums hijacked the recent EndSARS protests.

Since then, the police appeared to have abandoned their job of providing security around Doyin, Orile-Iganmu and Coker-Aguda areas of Lagos, which has left residents at the mercy of criminal gangs.
