Rivers State residential quarters to Judges

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice IBRAHIM TANKO MUHAMMAD has commissioned a newly built Judges Quarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The commissioning was done at the same time with the Court of Appeal Justices Residences and Staff Quarters, which were donated by the Rivers State Government.

Justice MUHAMMAD was represented at the ceremony in Port Harcourt by Justice MARY ODILI, who is also of the Supreme Court.

In his message, the CJN said the judiciary deserves to be given proper attention, and called on other states to follow the example in Rivers State.

The CJN thanked Governor NYESOM WIKE for his investments in the upgrade of the judiciary, including federal courts in Rivers State.

The Rivers State Judges Quarters is named after former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, CHINWE AGUMA, who served under Governor NYESOM WIKE until his death in August, 2018.
