Senate resumes plenary

The Senate and the House of Representatives have resumed plenary after the Christmas and New Year break.

On the first day of sitting for the year, Senators in the Red Chamber took out time to pay tributes to late Chief Ernest Shonekan.

Among other good things, the Senate called for a national memorial in honour of the Chairman of the 1993 Interim National Government, who died last week at the age of eighty-five.
