Somali children suffer food crisis due to dry weather

Experts have warned that over three hundred and fifty thousand children could die in Somalia due to the effect of lack of rainfall for a long time.

Adam Abdelmoula from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said that about one point four million Somali children are facing extreme malnourishment.

Severe acute malnutrition can cause stunting and wasting and leaves children so weak that they become far more vulnerable to diseases.
