The South-West Governors Forum has condemned the police invasion of the Magodo Phase-Two Estate in Lagos State.
Chairman of the forum and Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, challenged the Lagos State to deploy the regional security outfit, known as Operation Amotekun.
Governor Akeredolu made the call in reaction to the exchange between Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Chief Superintendent of Police who is leading the operation at Magodo.
Akeredolu said watching the video of the incident is very disturbing, adding that the disrespect to Governor Sanwo-Olu by the police officer shows that federalism is not working in Nigeria.
He said the South-West governor strongly condemn the role of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.
