The Senate of the University of Lagos has directed all students to vacate their hostels and halls of residence on campus due to fears of Covid-19.
The UNILAG Senate also said that lectures for the rest of the semester will continue online, with effect from July 26, 2021.
The move comes after some students reportedly contracted the corona virus disease, following which the management of UNILAG summoned an emergency meeting to discuss the situation.
The Senate also revealed that students who tested positive for Covid-19 are being treated, and contact tracing is in progress.
