The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of retired Air Vice Marshal Sikiru Smith by unknown gunmen in the Ajah area of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, confirmed that that the retired Air Force officer was abducted yesterday, adding that efforts were being made to rescue him and arrest the abductors.
Retired Air Vice Marshal Smith is the brother of former Inspector General of Police and current Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Musiliu Smith.
Recall that retired Air Vice Marshal Sikiru Smith was reportedly abducted from a site in Ajah by masked men on a speed boat.
