The President of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, has lifted a ban on media outlets by late former president, John Magufuli.
Samia, who is Tanzania’s first female president, asked media organisations that had been closed to reopen and ensure they follow the law.
The President also directed that media rules, regulations and penalties should be transparent, so that everyone knows what to expect.
