Uganda president suspends foreign donor funds

The President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, has suspended all foreign donor funds operating in the country.

The affected funds include the Democratic Governance Facility, which is funded by seven donors, including the European Union.

President Museveni, who won his sixth term in a controversial election in January, said funds controlled by foreigners threaten the sovereignty of Uganda
