UN Scribe calls for investigation of shooting of ENDSARS protesters

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, ANTONIO GUTERRES, has called for an end to police brutality in Nigeria.

In a statement by his spokesperson, GUTERRES condemned violent clashes that claimed several lives and caused many injuries across Nigeria.

He noted that he has been following developments in Nigeria and condemned the shooting of protesters at Lekki in Lagos.

The UN Secretary-General called on the Nigerian authorities to investigate the incidents and hold the perpetrators accountable.
